All of the team show care and attention to Zac, but we really value the weekly updates from his class teacher, who has a really good handle on who Zac is, and how he learns and operates.

I just wanted to share what a lovely evening we had with my son last night. He usually disappears upstairs for the night and we don’t see him but, last night, he spent the evening with us. He worked with us to cook the evening meal – a chicken tikka masala all from scratch and was keen to learn about the different things needed to cook it. He then chatted to us about his future and what he wanted to do. We then expected him to go upstairs but he sat and ate his meal with us and continued chatting about school and life in general.

I see real progress in his development and I wanted to thank you and the rest of the team for helping him in that.

My son is absolutely loving being at school at the minute, really happy to be in the school environment which is a massive contrast to the online tutoring he received before starting Allerthorpe. I’m really happy with the progress and bonds he’s making with people at school, it does take a long time for my son to find his place with new people, but I’m really positive he’s heading in the right direction. My son has been attending school at Allerthope since September after being out of Education for a year prior. Allerthorpe and their staff are doing an amazing job.

The new school is going well. She is happy at home a lot more now. Her sleep pattern is better, and her body clock is getting there a bit more. Her social skills have massively improved, and she is now taking pride in how she looks, which is such a big change for her. Thank you Allerthorpe.

He is progressing a lot better at Allerthorpe. My son has established some amazing relationships at Allerthorpe, he is settling in amazingly and getting very used to full-time daily school.
